Headway praised on national radio

Wed 08 Jan 2020

Headway received thanks from a brain injury survivor on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour after its helpline supported her when she was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome (PCS).

Samantha Ainsworth was involved in a skiing accident in the French Alps in 2018 which left her battling with the effects of PCS.

She bravely shared her experiences on national radio and spoke about the help she received from Headway following her injury.

Samantha said: “Headway was enormously helpful. They have fantastic information on their website and they have a helpline, booklets. They offer very clear information about concussion and that’s what helped us through.”

Joining her on the show was Dr Willie Stewart who discussed the consequences of concussion and post-concussion syndrome and his research surrounding the issue.

You can listen to the interview from 10:12 onwards.
