Understanding brain injury
Digital sessions coming soon
We will shortly begin offering our Understanding brain injury courses digitally. Using Microsoft Teams or Zoom software delegates can now attend our courses from the comfort of their own home.
The Course
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) can affect any aspect of someone's functioning. This interactive workshop will give delegates a solid foundation knowledge of brain injury and its effects on the survivor and their carers/family.
It will look at normal anatomy and physiology of the brain in a simple, clear, easy to understand way to allow delegates to understand some of the possible consequences when these structures are injured.
It not only goes through mechanisms, classifications and causes of brain injury but enables the delegates to work more effectively with survivors by developing strategies to enable them to work effectively with people who have a brain injury.
Delegates will be better able to empathise with some of the common difficulties experienced by people after a brain injury and reflect on simple strategies they can implement to improve their working practices.
