The Carer of the Year Award, sponsored by Barr Ellison Solicitors, celebrates the incredible dedication and devotion of those who care for people with a brain injury. Our finalists represent thousands of others across the UK who day-in, day-out demonstrate admirable determination to prove that there can be life after brain injury.
Three inspirational people have been nominated for the award:
A mother from Worcester who fought tirelessly to ensure her son got the best possible care following his brain injury has been shortlisted for a national award.
A mother from Dudley who has not only dedicated the past eight years to caring for her son after he sustained a life-changing brain injury but who also helped set up a support group to help others, has been shortlisted for a national award.
A Bristolian mother who had to give up her career in her twenties to become a full-time carer has been shortlisted for a national award.Back
