The team at The Laurels work together to develop person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual’s independence and recovery. The service provides accommodation for 12 residents and there is a garden, which residents are able to help to maintain and a training kitchen to support rehabilitation.
The interdisciplinary team consists of a rehabilitation consultant, neuropsychology, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Support is also provided by experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.
The service has a lift to all floors, allowing wheelchair access throughout the unit. Located two miles from Lincoln City Centre, The Laurels offers residents easy access to occupational and education resources, social and leisure activities and the GP practice.
